Service Description

This progressive, technique-based class introduces young dancers (ages 10–15) to contemporary dance, blending the structure and strength of ballet with playful, exploratory movement. Each week builds on the last, helping students develop coordination, strength, flexibility, and confidence while discovering both precision and expressive freedom in movement. Dancers will explore foundational ballet and contemporary techniques alongside improvisation and choreography in a supportive environment that encourages curiosity, individuality, and artistic growth. Throughout the term, students will have opportunities to share their work in low-pressure, in-house showcases that celebrate progress and creativity. As Laurence is on maternity leave until mid-October, the first five classes will be taught by Diana, focusing on neo-classical ballet and exploratory movement. This reflects the collaborative teaching approach Diana and Laurence bring to their adult classes, extended here into the youth program. Dress Code: Black leggings and tops + bare feet or “foot undeeze” + hair secured back. 12-week registration from Sept 16 - Dec 9, 2026 (no class on Nov 11)
